Global Politics Magazine is not a magazine in the conventional sense, designed to be read passively. It is a dynamic project, and all readers are encouraged to become involved.

What can I do?

• Write a main article, an insider's view, or an international perspective

• Contribute to a Global Politics one-off project

• Argue your views in the Big Debate

• Publicise Global Politics Magazine

• Write for the Fresh Ideas section

• Become a Global Politics blogger

We also need assistance with:

• Translation - help us reach an international audience

• Fundraising - can you make some money to support the magazine?!

• Legal advice - impart your legal know-how to Global Politics

• Editing - as we expand, more editors and proof-readers are required

• Web design - yes please!

Writing for the magazine

Global Politics Magazine provides a space for writers to make a fuller contribution to political debate than they may otherwise be able to do. Many forums and comment pages allow readers to express opinions, but few give the opportunity to put across a complete argument in the form of a published article. Although hosted in the UK, the magazine is available to readers around the globe.

As well as the main articles, we welcome contributions and suggestions for the additional sections:

• The International Perspective section is reserved for non-UK writers to give a view on international affairs from their home country.

• The Insider is an opportunity to swap experiences of working in the international sphere. If you work in this area, we would like to hear from you.

• Think on This looks at an article published elsewhere which is particular thought-provoking or controversial.

• The Big Debate

• Fresh Ideas

• Blogs

I want to write for Global Politics Magazine - what next?

We welcome all articles relating to contemporary international affairs, but we particularly encourage those which seek to highlight and introduce new ideas and fresh thinking in political debate. Please read the Magazine's statement of purpose for further guidance.

If you would like to contribute, please check the editorial policy and email a brief outline of the proposed article/debate topic/international perspective/insider's view to Nick at

Don't worry about anything too in-depth. We will provide further guidance on the requirements and discuss any queries regarding the subject.

Please note that the editors may not be able to publish an article if it lacks a clear argument or is otherwise felt to be of a poor standard. In these situations feedback and guidance can be given if required. If English is not your first language then extra assistance can be given to ensure that language is not a barrier - please get in touch with any questions.

Be part of the production of Global Politics Magazine

The Magazine his steadily expanding, engaging more and more young people worldwide as it does so. To do this, additional people are needed to assist with publicity, fundraising, web design, editing, research, translation, legal matters and networking. If you would like to be involved in the project, please let us know. We would be pleased to discuss all possibilities.
