New powers are rising in global
politics. What are their
priorities? How will they shape
international affairs in the
future?
We want your help to find out.
Global Politics is launching a new
research project and we want you to
get involved. We want to give
readers a snapshot of the world as
seen from the new and rising powers.
Emerging Economies bring innovative
solutions – as well as new
complexity – to global challenges.
India and China are the
most prominent of these, impacting
on the world’s board rooms and
refugee camps, social movements and
conference chambers. But they are
not the only such countries:
Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria,
and South Africa also all
have increasingly powerful views of
the world.
We want to know how people in these
countries see the world and what
they think are the important changes
in the world. We want to know
because the world will increasingly
resemble these visions.
Is this you?
-
Are you from any of these
countries or do you have
friends, relatives, colleagues
or contacts in any them?
-
Would you like to look at what
global dynamics concern
newspapers, bloggers, and
debates in these countries?
-
Can you speak any of the
languages that could help us get
a deeper insight into these
countries?
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these
questions, we’d like you to be
involved with this project.
What can I do?
There are plenty of ways you can
contribute to this project. It
could be anything from scanning the
blogs in these countries and
checking their newspapers to making
contacts in civil society and media
and interviewing them for their
perspectives.
Email us at
globalpolitics [at] global-politics.co.uk to
get involved. Let us know
which country or countries you’d
like to look into, and we'll put you in
touch with people with similar
interests or helpful contacts.
We start from a blank canvas. We
will only get a snapshot, but this
will be an important and exciting
picture of an emerging world.
