Editorial Policy

Here we set out our relationship with you, our readers and contributors.  This is the foundation of a trust between Global Politics Magazine and you: you can trust in the quality and balance of our output, and we will trust in your constructive contributions to furthering debate.

Our pledge

Global Politics Magazine is an open forum for thought and debate.  We aim to be politically, socially and geographically inclusive in the articles we commission and receive.  Therefore we shall not discriminate according to political or religious views.

We strive to be impartial, accepting all political shades, not adhering to any ideology.  Any particular article will embody the political views of its author but will not represent the political view of Global Politics Magazine.

We hope that different perspectives can inform and illuminate others for a vibrant and inclusive debate.  Within and across issues, this will make Global Politics Magazine a representation of young people’s thinking, your thinking.

What we ask of you

Global Politics Magazine is a free forum for debate.  Freedom of speech demands respect for individuals – equal respect. Therefore we ask that you respect standards of legality and propriety when contributing to the Magazine.  Do not offer to any section of Global Politics Magazine any sexist, racist or otherwise discriminatory opinions, or words that may inflame hatred: they will not be knowingly published.  Equal respect also demands that you do not use swear words in any section of the Magazine.

If you put your name to an article, the work must be yours.  If the words you offer are someone else’s, please respect her or his intellectual integrity by accrediting the author.

Thank you.

With trust and integrity, we can work together to build a robust forum for free political speech.
